Major Marian Chodacki Papers1939-1975
In brief: Marian Chodacki (1898-1975).
From 1912 a member of the Riflemen' s Association, officer in the Polish Legions; served in the Polish Army in the 1920 war. Attache in Finland and Sweden (1927-32). From 1936 to 1939, he was Commissioner General of Poland in the Free City of Danzig. Served in the Polish Army during WW II. Lived in the U.S.A. Director of the Pilsudski Institute in New York (1949-51).
Contents: personal documents; articles, lectures and speeches; private and official correspondence.
