On Sunday, May 31, the 5th Annual Historical Scavenger Hunt, I Know My Greenpoint – Stories Through Art, brought young detectives and their families on an exciting journey through the history and art of Greenpoint.
Participants explored murals, solved puzzles, deciphered secret messages, and gathered key words that helped them reconstruct the story of the “lost mural.” Along the way, they discovered that Greenpoint is much more than a collection of buildings and streets. It is a neighborhood shaped by the people who live here—their memories, dreams, choices, and relationships. They learned that history is not only something we inherit from the past; it is something we continue to create every day.
The story of Greenpoint is still being written, and each of us is a part of it.
