Museum Night at the Pilsudski Institute
On May 19th, 2019 the Józef Piłsudski Institute of America organized its second Museum Night. A crowd gathered to visit the Institute, to see our gallery of paintings along with an interesting exhibit - "75 years of the Pilsudski Institute", prepared in cooperation with the Institute of National Remembrance of Poland. The uniforms of the Polish Armed Forces in the West were also presented from our collection - thank you to the students from PSS p.p. Cyril and Methodius for your help!
"Museum Night of 2019" was dedicated to generał Bolesław Wieniawa-Długoszowski. He was the main character of the movie "Wieniawa" by Grzegorz Gajewski. Iwona Korga, President of IJP gave a speech introducing Wieniawa's story, presented letters, photographs, and military memorabilia from our collection. The audience welcomed her presentation and the movie with applause.
