Czermanski is known as a portrait artist, famous for political caricatures. Starting from teenage years, Pilsudski was Czermanski's life long inspiration. During the World War I, he joinded the Polish Legions under Pilsudski's command. The commander noticed young artist’s talent and later on, at his personal request, Czermanski’s caricatures of Marshal were placed at the Belvedere Palace. After turbulent youth Czermanski finally settled down in the US, where he worked for “Fortune Magazine”, “Look”, “Life” maganizes.
