This year, the Pilsudski Institute of America will be awarding the following medals for outstanding achievements in the field of history, literature, art, and for activities in the interest of Poland and Polish-Americans. The Honorary Committee includes Andrzej Wajda, Richard Watts - author of "Bitter Glory," Norman Davies - historian and writer, Tadeusz Gromada - the president of the Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences in New York, Rafal Olbinski - graphic artist and painter, and Krzysztof W. Kasprzyk - Polish Consul General in New York.

The awards will be presented during the Annual Awards Gala, which will be held under the auspices of the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage Bogdan Zdrojewski on November 6 at 7 pm at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York.
